The Project

I was a digital marketing specialist at McShane, LLC (now RMC) in Las Vegas from March 2022 to August 2023. Many of the clients were political campaigns and causes, so the work moved fast and had to be ready on deadline.

What I Did

Websites

I built sites on WordPress, Wix and Squarespace, depending on what each client needed and what they could manage after launch. The examples below include sites for Julie Clark, Sam Peters and Washington Veterans Vote.

Ads and creative

Once a site was up, it needed traffic. I made display ads, OTT creatives, Facebook ads and short video loops. OTT is ad space on streaming TV, so those spots are built for a TV screen rather than a phone, which changes how you handle text and pacing.

Organic social

Each client also got regular social posts built around their issues: volunteer sign-ups, donation asks, healthcare and tax topics. Good campaign social is short, clear and has one ask per post.

Clients and interns

Beyond the creative, I handled client communication and helped train and support new interns.

Tools and Skills Used

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, display and OTT ad design, Facebook Ads, video editing, organic social content and client management.

What I Took Away

Campaign work runs on deadlines that don’t move, which taught me to build quickly without cutting corners. Political ads also come with their own platform rules, and working within them was good practice for the regulated industries I focus on now at Tridigiam.
