The Project

VisCap Media is a Las Vegas creative ad agency that sells video ads and software. I was their marketing manager from July to December 2021. It was a short stint, but I got my hands on almost every part of the marketing.

What I Did

SEO content

I wrote SEO blog posts based on keyword research in SEMrush. Picking topics from real search data, instead of guessing, is the difference between a blog people find and one nobody reads.

Turning articles into videos

Articles could also become short videos built from their summaries. That way one piece of research turns into content for the blog and for social, without starting from scratch every time.

Paid and analytics

I ran paid reach through LinkedIn, monitored Google Ads campaigns, and set up Google Analytics so we could see what was working. I also worked on SEO and conversion rate optimization for the WordPress site.

Planning and production

On the planning side I wrote IMC and creative briefs, and I helped out on set during photo and video shoots.

What I Took Away

Repurposing is underrated. Getting several pieces of content out of one well-researched article is something I still build into content plans today.
